About us
Established by John & Jackie Thirkettle in 1982, Thirkettle Nurseries has grown from a small producer of fruit trees to a large wholesale nursery. We currently have 12 hectares in container production, with 10000 m2 under plastic and employ 30+ staff. Located in sunny Nelson we have a great climate for growing plants, and pride ourselves on the grade we can achieve in a growing season here along with the range of plants we have grown, over 4500!
We are a wholesale supplier, our clients range from retails chains & independent garden centres to landscapers, councils and commercial growers nationwide. We are not open to the walk in public and have no retail shop, we can however contract grow plants or potentially sell in bulk to not account holders, please see our terms of trade below. Our trade list is available to account holders through weekly emails and we can also set up an online login to see availability, FIS pricing, SKU & retail pricing directly on the website.
